is without a doubt fresh British extra thick double cream. Imagine, if you will, unbeaten heavy cream so thick that it is the consistency of marshmallow fluff. I’ve beaten in a bit of vanilla sugar into it and have been spooning it on top of everything, but you can use it plain as well. We even put it on our pancakes this morning instead of butter.
So, the next time someone asks me “But don’t you miss cake?” when I tell them I’m GF, I’ll be able to retort “Obviously, you’ve never eaten freshly picked strawberries dipped in extra thick double cream.”
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go wipe the drool off of my keyboard.
